Hi All
Its been a while since i have been on.............
Hope everyone is ok and still keeping in touch with each other.
Well we are now into winter on the island and last night we had a hurricane couldn't sleep as the house was moving to much :scared:
We have met some really nice people here and mad a good few friends islanders and brits not forgetting dear Angie from NS.
Still in love with this amazing place and so glad we moved here as this island life suits us so well ........can you believe people dont even bother to lock their doors here, well on this side of the island anyway not so on the other side of the island called Summerside as the crime rate there is not as reassuring.
I have read the new thread re-PEI with interest and would agree its not the place for everyone as with the rest of Canada not all qualifications are accepted here.......ie. I am a midwife with many years experience as a labour ward sister but if i wanted to work here i would have to retrain for two years
seems i would have to retrain to be a doctors handmaiden ..Noooooooooooooo not for me lol
Just as well i have retired ... and loving it.
Tonight high winds again.80klm -90klm so ferry not running and bridge closed so no way on or off the island today........but who cares warm fire nice wee glass or two of wine as we toast our toes Mmmmmmmm feels great.
Take care all Love Vi.

Great to hear from you. Its good to know that you are feeling settled and are happy on PEI.
What are you doing with your time if you are not working?
Have you taken up any new interests or hobbies?
We have had our meds and are nearing the end of the process now.
We will be right accross the bridge from you.

Not entirely sure of what we will do yet but we want to have a farm and work from there.
We would like to put some holiday chalets on it (self catering) and maybe sell some eggs and produce alongside gifts.
We also want to breed Alpacas, and maybe do some Llama trekking if the farm is big enough and the trails are good.
We have lots of ideas and don't want to put all our eggs in one basket. Whichever turn out to be the best ideas we can expand on in time.
How about you? what are you going to do in Canada?
Penny
