Hi all, could anyone tell me where the best areas of PEI are to settle ie Schools, Housing, and Employment (Engineering).

We are moving next dooor to NB. You may want to pm rossandvi. They moved out to PEI a few months ago.

Unfortunately not many are heading in that direction.

We're going to Georgetown/Montague area in the East where there are lots of facilities - enough for us anyway!. Even though we're not there yet the people over there have been kindness itself to us and I keep in regular contact with them whilst they help to arrange everything for us over there.

Charlottetown and Summerside are the busiest places and I guess for engineering might be best.

A couple from only 1 mile away from us in Wales have recently relocated to the New Glasgow area and absolutely love it. They have kids who have settled well into school and joined in lots of sports teams and they've all been made very welcome by their new neighbours.

Can I suggest you contact my realtor over there? He's got loads of local knowledge and has given us so much invaluable advice about the area that has helped us so much. He can help you with a great deal more that just looking at houses. The support they have given us (and continue to do so) goes way over and above just selling us a house.
