OK - I’ve been vaccinated here in Canada so unfortunately that doesn’t count under the UK rules - presumably you met their criteria but most of us won’t. Looks like most of us have the full testing and quarantine to endure until they change the rules.
It looks the best you could do would be a 5 day test to release or wait until Canada goes on the green list which surely can't be far off. |

Yes sorry we were UK Vax. I didn't know they were fussy about where you were you were jabbed I knew certain vaccinations are not recognised eg: Sputnik but you're right I checked it seems some countries including Canada are not trusted . It absolutely makes no sense that the very same vaccine is not recognised just because it was administered in Canada, with B.S. like this it's hardly surprising people don't respect the rules!

Your original comment though shows how easy it is to misinform people because you’re reporting on your individual circumstance which doesn’t apply to most people on this forum and a casual reader could take it as gospel. That’s not a criticism of you - we’ve all been guilty of similar - but illustrates the point that you can only take advice from online forums as a guideline but need to also check on official sources, confusing though they may be. |

That explains things - there’s so much bad feeling on forums because if you’re double vaxxed in the US, that’s fine for the UK but not if you’re in Canada. And that is our plan - quarantine and test on Day 5. Unfortunately for us, the next UK review is the day we fly so will be too late for us.

That's why it is really important for people to give information on their own situation (such as - from UK to Canada to UK return - UK vax'd) etc., as circumstances and requirements are different depending on where you start etc.... :D |
