PASSPORT REQUEST RECEIVED....... SOOOO EXCITED!!!
OMG..... we have been waiting so patiently since having our medicals in manchester on 18th Jan and today the brown envelope arrived. I was at work and got a text from husband to say OMG..... PASSPORT REQUEST letter is here. 
That was at 09.08 this morning..... well work got hardly any work out of me today, spent most of the day having hot flushes, screaming with excitment inside (work don't know) and thinking cr*p what the heck do we do now!!! What an amazing feeling to have that letter. For all of you going through this process and waiting patiently, you will be pleased to know our application was submitted only 10 months ago!!! Yer April 09!!
So we now have all the fun and games of sorting stuff out!! Any advice on where to start would be grately appreciated.;
We have a house which we need to either sell or rent, lots of stuff to ship over or sell a dog to ship and all the other exciting stuff. We hope to get over there asap but obviously need to make sure all loose ends are sorted here. We hope to move before winter set in.
Just going to crack open some wine to celebrate so CHEERS guys, here to us all going through this exciting experience for a better life in FAB CANADA!!!

Oh bless, thank you so much. Really please that our news has lifted your spirts and cheered you up. I agree with you and on the SCARY bit thou!! It's all actually happening now but soooo scary when you actually sit and really think about what is happening. Can't wait to get there thou!

I'm so excited for those of you have had passport requests. I agree that it lifts my spirits also.
We sent our application to Sydney NS 11 weeks ago and have heard nothing. Our consultant has told us that the initial 8 to 10 week wait has now extended to 10 to 12 weeks. It's so frustrating trying to get on with our lives but reading posts like yours does help.
