Pay it - as they will find you from your licence number.

The Ontario Cops tracked my father down, back to the UK, to get a speeding ticket paid.
I'd pay it if I were you.

I'm trying to figure out how you get pulled over while parked.
Presumably there's some way to contest the ticket if you weren't actually breaking the law. It might involve another trip to BC, though. Doesn't it say what your options are on the ticket?

fight - just because your tone wasn't not friendly shouldn't entitle her to give you a ticket.
What does it say on the ticket : - parking or being rude?
Parking fight she was in the wrong
being rude fight not against the law

How much are you arguing over? I'd just pay it I were you. Unpaid fines just sit there, until your plate gets run by a bored cop next time you are in BC. Fast forward to sitting in a stinky cell, with a tweaking drug muppet, waiting on being processed. Not my idea of fun.

I got stopped & ticketed three times by cops in Vancouver, on each occasion I played ignorant and pulled out my UK licence and said I was on holiday. They all warned me that the fine needed to be paid before I left Canada, that was 13yrs ago and no one ever came knocking on my door in England.

Ontario won't renew your license if you've got unpaid fines in any province or territory, or the States of Michigan and NY. Nice!
Surely BC talks to Alberta? Pay the fine.
