panic !!!!! no brown envelope just a fax and a man

panic !!!!! no brown envelope just a fax and a man
oh my g**
i faxed the canadian imm this morn as you can not ring work permits department to see the status of our work permits as we had meds last week . the phone has just rung and a man says " hello , canadian immigration here , i am just about to fax your permits through " jaw dropped onto the floor , 2 seconds later they are here by fax. i asked if these were all we needed he said yes and good luck.
i am now a total wreck , i can not believe they came this way, so i am going to be super busy as we were supposed to have started work 1st sept out in ontario , my son is already there.
when i stop crying , i best start sorting things out,
it is has taken from may 06 - sept 06
i think i need a drink !

If you are all set, better get those flights booked pronto and quickly organise a get together with all your friends. It'll soon be time to meet up with your son again. Congratulations and all the very best to you all

it is all very daunting , but i am looking forward to being with my son , he is 18 but i have found it hard being seperated from him

I know what you mean about a long wait. We also waited from May 06 to Sept 06. It felt never ending! Especially when all around seem to be getting theirs.
I have to say, everything seems very sureal right now. We have been dashing about like blue a**ed flies for the past few days and are now officially homeless having completed on the house today.
We board the plane that will take us to Calgary on Sunday, whooooohoooo!
I hope you manage to sort things out ok. I have to say that things have really come together for us......so far!

well flights booked for sat 30th sept , we are off :scared: we have 1 week to sort our life out and go ,
shippers can not pack till 10th october , but most of it done as we have lived in rented for 4 months,
grab the essentials and go
good old family will oversee the furniture moving.
