P.R Cards

Can anyone help with a bit of advice, We will betravelling to Toronto in April to Validate our visa's and "land" but will return to the U.K. after 2 weeks. We are hoping our Permenent resident cards will arrive at our relatives address before we return to the U.K. Do we need the P.R Cards to re enter Canada when we move permanently in August?

No. This has been covered recently in the immigration area, basically if you have the paper form and a return ticket (to get on the plane easily) you will be fine travelling without if you have too.(assuming British or other "visa waiver" passport)

So would you have to show proof of funds and goods to follow?

Only when you land, and they can be hit or miss about it even then...

You arent landing on subsequent trips, the paperwork (ROLF) is not the same.

Ok. Reason i asked the question is wife and i fly out in May for a week. Come back for 3 weeks then fly out with the kids. Just seeing if we 'land' and then land the kids. We are only looking to bring our clothes! No ming vases in our house.
