Default P.E.I

Hi. I was wondering what is the nearest airport to pei, is it Halifax or has it got its own little one. Pei looks looks beautiful, but I wasn't sure if its somewhere many expats settle. I know it's popular with tourists, even from America. Has the bridge helped its economy? Are the winters terrible?

There is a not so little airport at Charlottetown with regular connections to Halifax. I fly in and out of there quite often. There are a few expats on the island I believe, including a few truck drivers. The bridge has helped the economy in numerous ways, making the export of seafood, a major product of the island, quicker.
Yes it's popular with tourists, even from America ! Imagine that, all the way from the USA !
The winters are no worse than the rest of the Maritimes.

Indeed he does. It'll be "Wagons Ho" in about six weeks.

It's only 94 F on my patio there right now.

Charlottetown Airport - www.flypei.com

It is beautiful. I know a bunch of expats. No idea if the bridge helped since I moved after it was open. Winters are winters. You make of them what you will.

Personally I love it here and haven't regretted moving here at all.

It is peaceful and beautiful but the winters can be hard. It's a tough place to integrate in to if you're 'from away' and jobs are hard to find....
