Based on reading various threads on here today.
How easy is it to move provinces within Canada - am I right in assuming that if you lived in Ontario but fancied a change could you just pack up and say move to Alberta or whatever?
So what I'm saying is would it be like moving within the UK, live in London fancy cheaper housing so move to Leeds or whatever.

If you have PR via a province's PNP programme, then some of them require you to settle in that province for a certain amount of time before moving.
And if you are there on a TWP, then obviously you're tied to one job so can't just move without going through the whole job offer/LMO/TWP process etc again.
Hope that helps.

From: From West Yorkshire to Ontario. Now enjoying life in Saskatchewan

What you have to is remember that Canada is a lot bigger than the UK.
So moving provinces is a lot more work than moving in the UK.
Moving London to Leeds is what a 3 to 4 hour journey probably with the removal van following you.
My OH has recently moved to Saskatoon from Ontario. The journey took him 4 days. When we move our belongings it will take approx 10 to 15 days.
Then there is changing over the health cards, driving license, car inspection to be able to register it in a difference province etc.
So yes it is possible depending on your status but it is certainly not as easy as moving in the UK.

so if you are licenced to do what ever you do in one province you should be able to move to a different province to do the same work and be licenced in the new province.

Well, the federal governement is supposed to have in place by then a bill which reduces the barriers to interprovincial trade and movement of professionals from one province to another.
