I used to be a cop in the UK too but changed careers a few years back. I don’t think you’ll have a problem passing the Police test again once you’ve been here for a while and get into the mindset of Canadians. I really think that we Brits look too deeply into the questions, weighing up all the pros and cons because we’re expecting it to be comparable to a UK test, when in actual fact the Canadians are looking for the simple answer. I’ve seen signs about town saying that Edmonton Police are hiring just now – maybe once you arrive you could attend one of their recruit training classes just to put yourself at ease, because I’m sure you’ll ace it next time. Good luck with your application!
