I Can not really gauge this criticism against what I saw in western Canada. Can someone help? What is meant by this and if it is true. And anyhow is it just a good place for retirement or for young families as well can at least some Industrial work be found there.

My inlaws live about 1/2 hour from Orangeville in Dundalk and they love it, we considered moving there but I love toronto too much. But i hear its a really up and comming city. lots to do. Does get bloody cold there though we went in August in the middle of a heat wave here in Toronto and we were wearing jumpers up there LOL. I think there part of a snow belt region.

As for buying Snow clothes do it here, as someone mentioned more for your money and all the stuff I bought from UK was useless after about November 15th! good luck with the move.

Talking about cloths: you are right. I had brought some Canadian boots and a down jacket in Calgary in 2001. Thought I would never wear it here. Last week was subzero in U.K. got the items out. They were very useful indeed. I felt a real winner!

Hi looking at Tresspass ski jacket in UK as I might have to go out quickly and wont have time to buy out there as its ski wear should be ok, unless anyone can tell me otherwise
