Decent, involved, parents with time to support their kids seem to raise decent kids. Who would have thunk it.
Couldn't have put it better myself. Well said.

Not all children are tarred with the same brush. Some actually turn out ok.

I very much agree. Same as in the UK, which is why i often have a gripe about those wishing to emigrate solely "for the kids". But that's another thread altogether

Fortunately, there's no need to be decent.

there was an article in teh Star on this the other day... much though it embarrases me to admit to having read it, let alone agreed with its content. It raised a smile of acknowledgement, at least

Take a look at this site http://www.ingleside.on.ca/HTML/Travel.html. I am not sure about the work for electrician's but the area is a good one and close to the New York State & Ottawa.

Excellent article, and although blowing own trumpet here, my 16 year old has never had tantrums, screaming fits etc and has grown into a well grounded young man, with manners. I do however have a 3 year old neice who is opposite and wonder how she is like that and mine is ok!!!!!

of course not. Chain it to the bike rack outside and let everyone enjoy dinner.

Next, "Sommerfeld" explains how you too can manage to walk in a straightish line on smooth pavement.
