Default One way ticket for supervisa?

Hi everyone. My mother is coming over on a supervisa and I'm not sure if she will be allowed with only a 1 way ticket since she plans to stay for 2 years. She has a Philippine passport. Need advise please....

I don't know for sure but I don't think it would be a problem. You can only buy airline tickets 1 year in advance anyway.

One way is fine. She needs to ask for a visitor record on arrival to cover the 2 years she will be here.

The visitor record is very important as if she does not have it she will have issues getting a driving license and doing other day to day tasks. If she doesn't get it at the airport she will have to do a "flagpole" (that is cross the border to the US and cross back into Canada) in order to get it from a CBSA officer. Which would be a problem since Filipinos don't have visa free access to the USA.
Long story short, get the visitor record
