Default One more saying Hi!

Hi everyone,

I'm Mark, and with my wife Nicole and two youngsters (3 years and 5 months), we are seriously looking into moving to Vancouver.

I have soooo many thoughts and questions going round in my head at present, I just don't know where to start...

So for the moment I will just say it's good to be here and be prepared people, once I've sorted my thoughts out.....I've got a lot of questions coming up!!!!

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark, and welcome.

The Wiki (top of page) is a good start, should answer most of those questions for you. This article is a good one to read first:

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Quick_...an_Immigration

What do you and your wife do? That might help us give you an idea of whether you would be able to emigrate, and the best provinces to try.

Best of luck.

Hi people,

Thanks for the welcome. I am an architectural model maker so I think I can get in under 2251 Architectural Technician, although I have no relevant qualifications in this field, I have been doing it for over 20 years!.

Would not being qualified in this field be a problem or would 20 years outweigh that?

My wife is a full time mum at the moment, but she used to be an assistant claims supervisor for an motor insurance firm. Once Jr is old enough to attend nursery/pre school then she would be happy to return to work.

Vancouver has a good amount of modelmakers, some are after people now, but I don't think we are ready to start yet, to many what if's and but's to be answered...........
