Ours is being valued at the moment to go on the market asap  hope it sells quickly as OH is applying for a job out there  Definately starting to move better here, seems to be quite a few from London moving to the area so fingers crossed. Just realised Halloween party 31st  |
Re: Offer on the house
yeah when we saw the date was free at the pub we had to book it haha
ours was on the market for about 2.5 months, viewings in the double figures but no offers, then we got two offers in the space of a day....all in it took us about 5-6 months. |

LUCKILY ours all came back the same...I suppose look around and choose which one you feel most competitive with similar houses near you.
and GOOD LUCK :fingerscrossed: but not sure about there marketing as they don't seem to have many large houses on there books, another was very sharp and felt he was deciding whether he should allow us on his books, had lots of larger homes and a major player much higher costs of course, the other couldn't decide on the value and will bring someone else back to get a second opinion ? if they don't know how am i supposed to ? |
Re: Offer on the house
we went with the one who had the biggest client list...it's maybe worth paying more if they know how to move it quickly?

After about 30 viewings in about 3 months, we received an offer on the house. We have rejected the initial offer as the house is priced VERY competitively and they still came in 10% under the asking price. We are officially the cheapest 3 bedroom in the area and while I will drop the price to sell, I have a bottom figure and they're under it.
So please wish us luck with the negotiations, this is the 1st house I've ever tried selling and crap is is stressful :p We've also got more viewings booked in, which says to me we're still priced well...and we're expecting another offer to come in from a guy who had a second viewing on Saturday. It's never easy selling a house, but with all the stress/hassle/excitement of emigrating it's made even worse! All the best from us both in the sunny north west (of England for now!)
