Hello all,
I'm new to the forum but you all seem like a friendly bunch so I'm hoping you can share some wisdom.
My girlfriend and I are very much hoping to move from the UK to Vancouver in the next 18-24 months. I am motion graphics artist (3d, compositing, motion graphics, VFX, etc) and my partner is a recently qualified marine biologist (first class masters degree).
I understand that Vancouver has a lot to offer in terms of marine biology but I'm interested to get peoples opinions on the post production industry.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any designers on this forum or even friends that wouldn't take offence to an email asking some questions. Things like pay rates, freelancing opportunities, etc.
Also if there are any marine biologists that want to say hello that would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Olly.

Can I get my daughter to pm you in regard to the Oceanographer thing? She is thinking of going that route when she has finished school, it would be really good if she could actually 'talk' to a Oceanographer.

Yeah sure. It's my partner that you'll want to talk to though. PM me and I'll make sure she sees it.
