I first joined in 2004, landed in 2005, moved in 2007 and possibly left the forum in late 2008/early 2009. I absolutely loved the forum in the early days of my emigration experience, but I am afraid I got a wee bit jaded! Divorced Dad got banned for no reason, Judy from Calgary left, Biiiink was nowhere to be seen and the lone voice of reason appeared to be Iain K! However.....I have lurked for the last month and thought I may as well rejoin.
So, what I like about my move to London, Ont, Canada........my house, my friends ( yes, it is possible to have good, genuine friends in Canada - just like in the UK!) the summer - we have a pool, and it has been so much fun, my husband being retired from the police, and being so much more chilled out!
What I dont like.....( actually my not like list is a wee bit pathetic) Canadian TV is pants ( The forum had already warned me!) the fact that mobile phone contracts are a complete rip off! ( also knew this from the forum!) I love my part time job, but hate that you can be crap at your job, but the fact you have "seniority" makes sure you get anything you apply for!! ( I am unionised). So basically, glad we moved, and so far, so good!
So, hello again!

[QUOTE=fledermaus;8154517]I haven't a clue who you are but if you think that Iain is the only reasonable person amongst us then you must think the rest of us are unreasonable.
No I dont, that is why I am back. I just said, I got a bit jaded......

Trees, ( Forest City). The fact that it is a city but everyone seems to know everyone else. It is close to our relatives in Michigan and Illinois. Easy to get to the UK and easy for UK family to visit us. My best friend emigrated here at the age of 10 and I have been coming here since I was a teenager. It suits me because of stuff like that. Nothing fancy! It just suits me.

You appear to post some drivel at times. So why so critical? I honestly have no wish to appear on someones hit list. I just wanted to say hi I am back, I like living in Canada. Apparently I hit a nerve because I have friends and a pool? Wow. That was really not my intention. I should have left out those parts maybe. So hello. I like living in Canada, full stop.
