Obtaining a (Canadian) police clearance certificate
Anyone know how I can do this? I need one to obtain my insurance license through work. HR suggested I can just walk in to a police station- is that right?

That's right costs $25. Find a quieter station away from Calgary and some of them will do it on the spot for you or overnight. If you go to Calgary it can two weeks. I have just done one in Canmore and it was done overnight. I know in Banff the RCMP do it on the spot for you.

Had mine done at quiet sub station out of town. Same as other post, done over night and arrived at my house in less than a week. Name on data base a few days later. JUst took passport and driving license as ID, which got cursory glance (!)
