Nursing school in the Province of Alberta
#1
If you know an affordable nursing school for an international student in the Province of Alberta, please let me know. My wife is thinking about becoming a registered nurse.
She has a BA degree in Accounting that was received many years ago. If she can use that degree and complete a second BS degree in Nursing in 2 years that would be wonderful. If 4 years colleges are expensive, she is ready to go to a 2 years community college to save some money and get a degree. Thanks for your time.

Now we are looking for a short program (6 months to 12 months max) that she can earn a certificate/diploma and get a part-time job that pays about $15-20 per hour in Lethbridge/Calgary/Edmonton. She is not planning on working for more than 2 years. She wants to start a small business after that. Thanks.

the quickest she'll earn a diploma is in 2 years, certs will only get her minimal of positions, she's better off just swallowing the 2 academic years and earning 20 odd an hour if she has good human services based experience. We are closing down community based facilities here in AB due to a lack of staff, however many of the occupations are regulated and require diplomas to enter full time employment.
Good luck!
