I have applied to the CRNBC, unfortunately my actual nursing transcripts are not available & they are expecting me to do an exam in medical/surgical nursing. The SEC Assessment, which is written & role play type questions over two days. If the NMC can't provide the information they require, nurses are being asked to do this exam first. If they find any shortfalls in your knowledge, they ask you to do further study at your own expense before they will give a temporary permit to practice as a nurse.
I am due to sit it in August in Vancouver. I have my PR already, but until I know for certain I can apply for jobs I will not take it up. Also I am not sure whether they are accepting International nurses still.
Its taken a long time to get to this stage, just hope it doesn't go all wrong from now on!
Anyone with any advise out there?
