Just a quick question. Is a week sufficient to have a decent look around NS.
We are struggling to find time due to work commitments.
What do you consider essential to see while there? Thanks.

Hi we are going out for a 1 week Recce on Friday and just hoping that a week will be enough. We have Interview, house hunting and meeting with other people all set up so just think organisation is the key. We are also hoping to get some sightseeing done and a little bit of shopping (well I am anyway
).

We have also booked a week - lots to do, not sure how much of a holiday it'll be but as LisaBob states, organisation is key.
Hopefully we'll also meet up with a few BE'ers during our 8 days
Good luck with your plans.

It will depend on how far you want to travel in the province in that week.
On our 1st reccie here we based ourselves in Halifax for the 2 weeks and travelled out every day and did not see anywhere near what we intended to see.
Have a great trip

Hi
As others have said, depends on what you are doing on your recce, we went for 10 days and unfortunately did not have time to travel around too many different areas, We mainly stayed within Colchester areas and Halifax for interviews etc. Would loved to have got across to Annapolis Valley area and down the south shore region a bit and also Cape Breton but simply ran out of time
We had time to look at some houses etc and to meet lots of people, a week will be very busy but it is do able?? (sorry re spelling)
if you are happy to limit your areas a bit
Good luck

I spent 1 week in NS and covered a big part of Halifax and the surrounding area...plus it only takes 1 1/2 hrs to drive from Halifax to Wolfville on Hwy 101...

Hi
We went out at the end of November for 2 weeks. During this time we also drove to New Brunswick and stayed there for 2 days.
Yes, you need to plan and get organized but remember to take time out to enjoy yourself(s) and take in some of that lovely scenery. I have 181 photos of all that scenery to prove it....
Good Luck with your plans
