I can't believe how quickly our recce trip has come round
We fly from Heathrow Friday 13th
11:30 in the morning arriving in Halifax at 15:30. We are spending the 1st couple of days / nights in Halifax then shooting up to Truro for a few days and meetings permitting, we also plan to spend a night in Tatamagouche.
I've already made arrangements with some fellow BE'ers for a meet but if anyone is up for a drink or a coffee sometime during our visit please reply to the post or drop me a PM
We return on Friday 20th (late night flight)
We have a fairly hectic 8 days planned but really looking forward to watching the Mooseheads on Friday and a bite to eat in Salty's on Saturday before having to do the mundane stuff....job interviews, CV drop, house viewing.....oh so much to do, so little time.
Hopefully get to meet a few of you in the next few days, but I'll be sure to post our experience on here on our return.

Hey thanks Lisa. Can't wait - there is only one bad part and that's having to leave our 3yr old at home
With everything we have planned for the week it really wouldn't be fair to drag him around.
Will be posting our experiences on our return - best of luck on your trip
Can't wait Nikki

We're hoping to book something for June and any info/tips you can provide would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I'm pretty new to the forum but I noticed that you have just returned from a visit to NS. I just wondered how you had got on? I was communicating with Nikki Dreaming about going out for a recce without our kids and she said this is what you had done, I just wondered how you found the experience?

Thanks very much.
I have just read your post about your time out there. I feel really gutted for you that you didn't get that wow factor you were hoping for. I have to confess that was what I was hoping for when we go out for a recce. We're hoping to go out in May. To be honest I'm fairly new to the idea of NS. When we initially started looking at living in Canada we were set on going to Vancouver but after reading so many good things on here about NS and the advantages of the province we decided to look more and more at NS. I suppose until you actually go and see for yourself you don't know whether its going to work or not.
I can't believe the roller coaster ride in even thinking about things, one day I'm hell bent on going and then the next day I'm not quite so sure. From reading the threads on this forum it seems to be totally normal but it still drives me mad!!
Have you always had your sights on NS and had you been researching a long time before you went on your recce?
Before reading your thread since you returned we have made the decision to take the kids with us, but my mum's going to come with us so the times that we need to do the 'boring stuff' as far as the kids are concerned she can help out.
Have you decided which area you are going to settle in then, will it be Truro?
Nic
