Default Us too!!!

We have finally exchanged contracts today aswell!! It was all getting a bit sticky, so what a relief.

Looks like we're on the same flight as Maple and Co aswell-should be quite a lively plane.

Feel we can actually concentrate on looking forward to getting to NS now and getting settled.

Sure. If you are coming on the A/C flight, the 90 mins or so in St John's isnt enough time to get you screeched in, but I'd happily buy you your first Tim Horton's at the airport!

Kissing the Cod is part of the Newfoundland tradition of 'Screeching in' newcomers to the province. The screech bit refers to the rum of the same name you have to down after kissing aforesaid cod! (& the sound most make after drinking it.) Actually in these days of the cod moratorium a plastic puffin is often the object of choice.

I'm not sure if Nova Scotia has a similar tradition, but I do understand that it is neccessary to learn all the words of 'Barrett's Privateers' by Stan Rogers....
