Nova Scotia - hello
So we arrived last week in the Storm which made getting here interesting.
Now we are here I'm looking for a job.
I have applied for a couple of jobs online and emailed 1 of them with updated contact details. I know 2 of the jobs closed this week so if I hear nothing do I assume i didn't get the job or do you have to chase everything ?
I ask this as we have found emails do not seem to get a response.
Also if anyone know of any jobs going then please let me know.

It would help if you said what kind of jobs you are looking for. Emailing for jobs is not recommended for Canada. You need to get out and knock on doors.

Welcome to NS and chase people up, they are a nightmare here. I think it shows you are keen too!

No-body in Canada ever says "no"; you just never hear any more. Silence is golden here.

Re: Nova Scotia - hello
many job ads seem to include a phrase along the lines of "only applicants invited for interview will be notified"
Thus ............ if you haven't got as far as an interview, then you are not likely to hear anything.
However, it doesn't do any harm to contact them ............ that might be the only way to find out why you were not successful.
