Nova Scotia - Driving Test or Not?
#1
Just a quick query (a secret fear
) - on immigration to NS is a driving test a requirement or can a British Licence just be 'swapped' for a Canadian one?
Have tried to check this out on Wiki but with no joy
If so, what is required - is it as complex as ours (which incidently my OH and I took over 20 years ago

Will be moving to NS once we sell in BC. We both (wife and I) took our tests following the 90 day expiration and have been driving on BC licences here for around 18 months. Does anyone know if we can simply swap BC for NS or hasn't enough time elapsed on the Canadian licence to do this yet? Hopefully, it'll be a straight swap as we have done the Canadian testing. Surely they won't expect us to take them again?
Just wondering.

p.s. anyone want to buy a really lovely house here in BC? Check out my ad!

It seems that your license can be swapped.
Check out Chapter 1, page 5 of the of the driver's handbook.
