Hello everyone,

I have had some fantastic trips in NS and after a long hard decision I have decided to make the change in life I have always wanted.
Nova Scotia seems to have almost everything I want in life however I am a realist and need to find work in the Retail sector.
I already have my PR visa and am available to work asap.
I am a trained chef but have been in hospitality/retail management for the last 6 years and would like to stay in management if possible.
Are there opportunities for people like me in NS? I'm signed up to most of their job websites but would apreciate any input from you guys.

Preferably in Catering however I have experience in High Street store management as well.
At the moment I am studying to further myself in Food Hygiene and was hoping to become an EHO or a food safety officer some day. Would love to do so in NS if the opportunity arises.

Sounds as if you are in a similar boat to me! I too trained as a chef originally. I am an area manager in the U.K for Greggs / Bakers Oven and am looking for a similar role over in NS but would consider any retail area / district manager jobs although it doesn't necessairly have to be in food.
I too have looked on many job sites and there are some opportunities as long as you realise the wages don't appear to be as good as here in the U.K.
