Hello all, we are moving to Nova Scotia in 2 weeks.
We are a family of 4 and looking for any contacts / network building opportunities and advice. So if there any friendly (Im sure you all are) people out there then it would be good to hear from you

As well as what part of NS I would also ask what sort of things are you looking for. Work?

Hi, initially we will be renting in Indian Harbour but need to explore more.
Networking for both friends and work I guess.
I worked for a finance bureau as a computer operations manager (loosely I.T) but willing to find any job really to start with.
My wife is in Fianancial services (IFA).

If she wants to carry on with this in Canada she will need to be certified to sell various types of financial products (surprise, surprise). The courses and exams are not difficult but if there are real live classes she can go to this is a good way to start networking.

Thanks for the replies. I know she wouldn't want to work in a call centre but TD could be a good place to look.
I know she would need to make her qualifications Canadian but she has considered starting in a admin based role.

Hi, we are a family of three that live in Hubbards. I actually work in Hackett's cove just up from you and have lived in two years. We have had a great experience since we moved here. Pm me Kevin if you have any questions 😄
