Hi
Just come back from Ontario after having 2 job interviews but alas was not successful.
I was told to try Nova Scotia but I don't know anything about the area, ie, weather, areas for jobs, housing etc..
Any pointers anyone, I am a qualified chef currently serving in the British Royal Navy.
Thanks
RJM

Look at Careerbeacon.com which is a site for mainly East Coast jobs.
I noticed a few posted there.
I would also contact the major hotels in the Halifax area. Look at the Hilton,
Holiday Inn, Sheraton, etc... web sites to get locations and contact info.
Also the are a fair number of mid to high range independant restaurants in the area which might be a place to start but might require a personnal visit.
Hope that helps.

You may want to take a look at this thread http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...highlight=chef and maybe contact the OP to see how her husband went about finding employment in the end.
