Sorry about that folks I thought I was just replying to Sue, not the whole Forum oops!
If you're happy inside your head it doesn't matter where you get to live even when it gets Worldwide recognition as being the Best Town to live in. Find it peculiar that Andy+Sheila (Estate Agents?) are knocking it when they have been in NS for such a short time themselves.

Found it. Don't start me off about house builders - we have been in nearly a month, and after a little dice with death (furnace / carbon monoxide / leaks, that sort of thing
) we are still waiting for some easily fixable stuff to get done. Definitely hold back cash from closing to get some leverage for the bits they haven't done yet.
The hilarious bit was the builder had given our name as a reference - she called too. I think I was very restrained (where is the 'saintly' smiley?)
Tried to karma for builder stress - no luck

How long do you have to live in a place before you know what it's like? i suggest that within 6 months (especially a small town like AR ) you get to know it pretty well, incidentally, i love Annapolis Royal, i just couldn't live there long term.
(Estate Agents?) ??? Do you mean Realtor and/or Real estate agent? if so, why the ? i am a realtor, no question mark needed

What is it that upset you? the fact that i don't like a certain pub and dared to say so?
WTF are you on about when you say '"using community tools" If you are referring to me on here, i have never touted for business on here, neither would i, if someone wanted to use my services i would give free advice and if they wanted someone to represent them i would refer them to a colleague, it's called ethics......
I don't give a s#it what you think, i value opinions of people with at least half a brain.
This is my last words on the subject as i don't wish to get into a slanging match with an idiot who can't read. Don't waste your last brain cell by responding as the ignore button is a very handy tool and will now be used.

Surely one of the ways we can help is by answering questions on places or relating to our chosen profession. Andy chose to be a realtor, if people ask advide on property MOST would be glad to receive from someone who has done the course and got the badge (which in his case is always given free).
Posts like yours make me wonder why I bother coming back, I suggest you shut up.

Thanks guys for all the positive things been said about NS. We are really looking forward to the prospect of buying out there and eventually moving out there full time. If anyone wants to know about the buzzing town of Nottawa, Collingwood (which is about to be invaded by thousands of people and hundreds of Elvis's (Elvi??) impersonators) where i am please ask! I enjoy the forum as people seem to speak their mind and don't make everything sound so hunky dory, cause we all know it ain't!!
Cheers

Every person likes different things, this which makes us all unique and interesting, I suspect you will love it here Sue, contrary to one persons belief, i think Nova Scotia is a great place, i love it here and can never envisage leaving. If you ever want some impartial, balanced advice i would be glad to give it to you, i alsoi know about 4 others on here, from Nova Scotia, that would do the same for you. As Ziggy8080 said, we have all been through the immigration process and we have all come to settle here so we all give our advice freely and try our best to make it balanced and impartial.
Thanks Ziggy8080 for your post, i tried to give you karma for it but apparantly i have to spread it around some more 1st.
