Melton Mobray? I always thought everyone craved Cadbury's Dairy Milk out there. Last time my husband went he had to bring out a box load of Chocolate Digestives - any requests?
requests??? how big is you suitcase???lol...my parents are over in 4 weeks and ive been asked by mum for a shopping list of things from tesco. she doesnt have to ask if i want anything, she just knows the cravings are kicking in now!!lol

we've got a fab english food supplier in halifax called Petes Frootique. he has quite a lot of uk stuff in but its really expensive. i can get a bottle of ribena there for the kids at $12 plus tax so works out about £2 more than in the uk. ive asked him a few times if hes been there for certain items and give him some credir, he does try to get them in. my husband craves boost bars and hes not even english!!! too much time sat in the uk doing nothing if you ask me!!lol

the melton mowbary thing is a common craving i think. my brother in law is also english and craves them. as our father in law owns a butchers, he gets them in for us so i will stocking up on the next visit. some for me and some for corky!!:)

so trishie, are you up for a meet and greet type thing when youre over? im happy to put on a barbeque or something and we could all get together

Nova Scotia

Hi trishie,
just wondering where abouts you are in cheshire, we are in burnley lancs, hoping to go to fall river early next year year, depending how fast application goes, waiting for medical dates now. Good idea Jo to have a get together when we all get there. I'm surprised how many people are now going to NS, will be good to know lots of people, even before we get there.
:)

Just had a great telephone call from Corky!

Out of the blue she rang me from Plymouth and we chatted like old friends for about 45 mins.

Great to be able to talk to someone from the board in real time!

got about six weeks questions answered in three quarters of an hour!

Good on you Corky!:D :D :D :D :D

Gee it seems as if there are going to be a few in Nova Scotia in august so it would be nice to have a meet up somewhere...I will be intouch Trishie...i sent you a pm yesterday...

Still in hot england but from the weather reports I think it is about to change. I am off to a carboot sale in Exeter on Sunday...suppose to be a big one.

trishie Jun 16th 2004 9:41 am

oh, so hot, don't ya just love it? well perhaps not if you're carving polystyrene in a steel industrial unit.

For those who were asking I'm in Hale in Cheshire. I hope to be visiting my best friend in Devon next week - Corky if you're still in Plymouth then we could 'do Lunch'!

So, have the flying, flesh eating critters subsided yet?

Corky Jun 16th 2004 9:53 am
