We had to fly from Gatwick to Toronto and then on to Halifax. We knew that when we got to Toronto that we had 1hr 15 mins to get to our next flight...not too bad save for the fact that Canjet are not affliated and so we had to go through the whole rigmarole of checking out and then checking back in again....but we were prepared for this.
Anyway we set off from Gatwick half an hour late and into a headwind; by the time we got to Toronto we had a medical emergency and no one was allowed to leave the plane until the lady had left the plane (poor woman had air sickness). Then the carosel for the luggage broke down. By the time we got to the check in desk for Canjet we had 10 mins to FLIGHT! (and it was the last flight of the night)
So if you plan to fly and change via this route (compliments of Canadian Affair), make sure you have PLENTY of time.
Can I just say though that Selina at the check in was fabulous and so helpful, and we got the flight out. She couldn't have got us any faster through the system if she had dragged us by our scruffs. So if anyone is using Canjet in Toronto, please look out for her and thank her again for us.
Other than my husband also getting air sick on the return journey but not a bad "do" but he did need oxygen, we had a great journey through Canadian Affair flying with Mytravel, Canjet and Thomson, the attending staff were brilliant and we are looking at using them again next year
