Nice to meet you all

I realise this is 'meet and greet' and not 'cry for help' page... Sorry, it's my first forum!
So Hi, we are Mark and Nic and have been working on getting to Canada for four years. I am from the UK and Nic is from Trinidad. We placed our application in Dec 2004 with the CHC in Trinidad... we understood that we would have half the waiting time....we were mistaken!
We sold up in the UK and in spring of 2005 we bought a house in Hope BC.
Surrounded by mountains with a salmon river running next to it... we look at the pictures all the time and although we don't live in Hope...we do live in hope if you get my meaning!
As I said in the other M&G the letter saying 'get your medical' arrived this morning...OMG
We have been reading all your messages to each other and we really like how the people here stick together and support each other... so many people with the same dream!

Good luck with the PR application, best way to speed it up is by getting a job on a Work permit

Hi Polar,
We wasted our time on a English Consultant for 18 months dealing with our application so we said enough is enough. We found Canadian Consultant based in London who deposited our application within a month following our meeting. Our application has been in since Feb 06 and we are sick off waiting so we are now trying the PNP route with our Consultant. What I don't understand is that we are in jobs that are on the job demand list but that doesn't speed up the process.
Thats my story.
