Hi, I have one of these which is up for renewal this month, I e-mail them to ask if I renew will it make any difference when I relocate from the UK to Canada in the New Year. I get the reply 'as per your request we will cancel your subscription'! I know we joke about Americans speaking a different language but that isn't even close to what I was asking! So my question is do I take this to mean I can't take my subscription with me and will have to subscribe when I get to Canada? Thanks for any enlightenment

I'd assume you can't as your provider has likely linked it to a UK IP if it is web based or alternately you'll be aware you do not have Sky TV in Canada.

Do you stream the programme to your computer?

Just cancel it and get a new one when you get here...there's a lot better available than NHL Network
Game-Centre, Centre Ice and (as of next year) Rogers Sportsnet

You'll need a new subscription.
NHL.com in Canada defaults to the Naked Hooters Ladies network. (JamesM has all the details).
What you need is NIHL.com, the National Iced Hockey League.

Yes I mean NHL Gamecentre, we don't have a lot of choice over here in the UK. Thanks for your help. Oh and DH would certainly prefer the default to the Naked Hooters Ladies network lol!

This seems like a good thread on which to note that the Hell, the freezing of which is apparently a prerequisite for the local iced hockey team to win something called a Stanley Cup, begins tonight.
I've always thought that extending the bloody playoffs into next summertime reduces the chances of Hell remaining iced over long enough to matter.
I note though, the report from JamesM that there is now something called an Iced Bar in Toronto. Perhaps that'll do the trick.

I'm probably the only Canadian that detests it being on TV everywhere.

As I support the Colorado Avalanche. They very rarely show there games on tv in Vancouver. So for me, streaming the games for free or getting a NHL Game centre subscription makes sense.
