Hi Mandi,
My other half is a central heating engineer, (gas fitter - in Canadian terms) and we are looking for a job for him so that we can go out to BC, where we have family, (or Alberta if that is where the job is), on a work permit.
How did your hubby get his job? I have been searching the net looking for opportunities and so far have only seen jobs advertised by employers that aren't supporting work permits.
I'd be keen to hear any pointers you may have.
We have a 14yr old son and an 8 yr old daughter.
Hope the move goes smoothly for you all.
Robin

I've sent a pm so thanks for the help but for anyone else reading these threads - I broke my leg on Monday whilst ice skating with my daughter and have only organised my laptop to be charged and on my lap today. Fortunately only lower fibia broken but still in a cast and am unable to do much but sit here with leg up and wiggle my toes! Lots of time on my hands though, (tee-hee), for a change.

The ski resorts of Alberta (COP Anyway), better watch out for the latest soon to be SKi patrol member.
Mr Smelly has Ski Patrol try outs March 8th. We should all get up there and give him a busy night

Look cool in his Descente jacket apparently .........
Nah not sure.
Hell they are desperate, they might even take me..... but I would be useless. There is no chance you would get me talking someone off a ledge in Delirium dive.
You can see it now.
Smelly= You ok sir?
Person= No, after some courageous bar talk last night we decided this was a good idea.
Smelly= Oh really....... it's a long way up isn't it?
Person= I'll say. Can you get me down.
Smelly=
Radio transmission =
HELP!

Thanks for the support guys, am not usually accident material and do so look forward to skiing somewhere Canadian. Never mind - can use my peaceful days with my leg up researching our options and sending off resumes/cover letters/comments and pm's - think I can just about manage to fit all this into my busy schedule right now! Must think of this as a positive omen!
