New baby and passport
My wife gave birth to a little girl 4 days ago. Forgive me if I don't do a search but just ask this question.......I'm too tired to be bothered
I know we can apply for a Canadian passport for her but question is can we apply for a British one too? Thanks |

Thanks 3 of my 4 children were born outside the UK (2 of them in Canada) and all are British citizens by descent through me and my wife (we were both born in the UK). Note that you can't register the baby's birth through UK consular birth registration. That option is not available to people born in Canada and some other countries (e.g. Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa). |
