Just found these, if you aren't worried about always travelling on a Saturday the prices are great.

Sunwing is a major holiday company here( http://www.sunwing.ca/), flights have been available through them for a long time but they have now got a website specifically for flights from the UK. Interestingly enough, Travelzoo have a very good deal on at the moment for June departures between specific dates (whilst seats are left) of £299 including taxes flying with Sunwing:

London Gatwick:

Depart June 11-17
Return by June 24

Glasgow:

Depart June 14-17
Return by June 23

Just a heads up, going through Sunwing Flights UK's own website is cheaper than the one given by the OP and you can upgrade your seat online for £45 rather than calling.

Great, next time I'm hoping to fly for less than the $850 I just paid.

And the $1250 I paid last year was just painful!

Actually that's where I found it. Tried to test it by booking those dates (11-23rd of June I think) and interestingly the site kept timing out. The offer disappeared off Travel zoos site the next day...

I am still able to get the £299 including taxes without any problem, I actually checked yesterday for my sister.

Not sure why you are having that issue.
