Default Need help - DESPERATELY (Lost papers!!)

Hi,

I've been a Canadian landed immigrant for about two and a half years now. I came to my country some time ago on a family emergency. My father suffered a major stroke. Now he is recovering well. Yesterday I was packing my stuff for my return to Canada and I got the shock of my life when I discovered my Canadian landing papers, my SIN card, my health card, my license, my credit cards and some other important papers (like my degrees etc) missing!! I and my family have searched the entire house, but we can't find the documents. I can't recall where I had placed the documents when I had arrived a few months ago (in a briefcase or handbag etc) and neither do I remember my things being stolen. I'm hoping its a case of misplacing my things.

Please someone help me. What should I do?

I have to return to Canada. My work / job will suffer if I don't return. What do I do? Where do I go? Please help me out.

Myself and my parents are extremely worried because of this mishap. I would be highly obliged if someone could guide me on what to do, where to go etc.

Thanks,
Sana

Hi Sana:

Your best bet would be to contact Canadian embassy of your native country immediately and tell them the situation. I hope you have your immigration paper, SIM card, driving license that would assist them to gather your information swiftly.

Best of luck and do keep us in the loop.

Fantasia.
