I'm still going to continue to post on here.
Think about it though, it must be a bit like a comfort blanket! You land in a 'strange' country & in about 90% of cases, not knowing anyone at all. That scares the crap out of me and I'm sure I'll still be coming here to talk to people in the same boat as me. Also (this is going to make me sound very sad
), but.. I feel that I've made a lot of friends on here, some I'd never ever meet, but still I'd like to keep in touch with them. I told you it'd make me sound sad

This site must make some of you homesick...missing your marmite or whatever. There are alot that used to come on here but I guess they have more interesting things to do now they are in Canada....getting on with the Canadian way of life. Or perhaps they are just out enjoying themselves...Still alot have not much to do and come on here often (me)!

To Mandy, perhaps there are just some kind people on here who want to help, and offer advice to others who are now going through what they went through. I do have a life, a very full life, but it is just after midnight, my daughter is asleep in bed, my husband is 3,500 miles away....in bed, and there ain't much else to do around the farm in the pitch dark!!

We are not complaining and we are very, very grateful but he does have a point.

- I have found it very interesting to see Canada from an immigrant's point of view. I have learned a lot of stuff about Canada that I wouldn't have otherwise known, thought of or experienced.
- there is a mountain of British info and experience here for me to greedily mine when something confuses me in my life in England.
(I will be asking plumbing questions soon!
)- I can relate to the expat mentality or mental illness or personality or affliction... eventhough I'm doing a comparitive 180. I struggle with similar issues, have similar surprises, irritations, etc...
- some people here are just very funny and I like to be amused.

- some people have been incredibly helpful to me!
- the Canadian Expat forums I've been to generally suck!

- I haven't admitted my addiction.
