I got a letter from CHC that my file is in a interview queue waiting to be transferred to New York Office. From this forum and the info provided in that letter i know it will be another year or so before i get my interview.( applied at Buffalo)
Now my status in US is expiring( here on a student visa). Now if I change my address to India will it effect my application a lot. I have given my address in US as my uncle's address who is a US citizen. What if I keep the same address. I will still receive all the information. Should I keep this address or no.

Change of address will not affect the process, but what about getting US visa for
the interview? Americans routinely refuse visas to those who are coming for the
interview in Canadian consulate. If you can't get US visa then you will have to ask
for transfer of your file to New Delhi and such request may or may not be granted as
per new law.
