Default Moving to Vancouver/Vancouver Island

Hi there,

My boyfriend and I are contemplating moving to Vancouver. Can anyone give us a REAL view on what its actually like to live over there ie taxes, houses, employment, transport etc.

What are the big difficulties/differences to the UK we will run into?

Are our cats really going to get attacked/chased by coyotes everynight?

I work as a book keeper and my boyfriend is in IT, both jobs are on the governments list but are there any regulations that apply to these professions in Canada? What sort of employment level is there in these fields?

What regualtions apply to importing a car?

What is the weather REALLY like?

Cheers for the help. Sorry to ask so many questions but we haven't quite made our minds up yet and figure just visiting Vancouver will only show us the tourist side of things.

Nikki
