well,
apart from not knowing what your requirements are, everywhere is nice accept the core just North of Downtown and of course anything you don't like.

Not helpful answer the look at the question.

Are you single, family, young, old, townies, farmers? do you need an apartment or acreage or something in between?

Have to give us some thing to work on.

Ps do a search for Winnipeg and you'll find lots of information about different area in winnipeg and people from different walks of life on this site. Have fun and enjoy your life, share a little bit with us eh.

We live in Winnipeg, have done for 10 years, we used to live in a Village in Cambridgshire.

We (Wife + 4 children 17 - 23) love living in "The Peg" the area of the City we live in (Charleswood) is a lot like living in the UK Village in the way of noise, traffic etc, in fact if anything the traffic is less.

We looked at living outside the City but that was a bit too Rural for us.

What sort of location are you looking for?

Brandon is probably one of the nicer areas, also has a Hospital, about 4 hours from Winterpeg.

Downtown has major gang and crime problems.

we want as minimum a 3 bed house or bungalow with a bit of land. not too remote but nice and quiet. Want to be within 30 mins drive of amenities. (ie restaurants, hospital etc)

We are a young couple looking to find a nice area to start a family and want somewhere safe and a community feel would be a bonus. JUST WANT TO KNOW AREAS TO AVOID REALLY OR ESPECIALLY NICE AREAS FOR SCHOOLS ETC.

Thanks

Don't think that was warranted, Grah had a valid point. More info = more accurate recommendation than 'we think here is nice' when you may well not.
One man's meat .....

PS and you have just added more info which is exactlt what Grah was suggesting

Can we keep it polite here? People give their free time to answer posts on the board, and it does help them to do that by narrowing options down.

If you don't like an answer you got, ignore it, no need for personal attacks.

Grah's questions seemed sensible to me. Have you considered Churchill?

Steps back, gently backs out of the room, and closes the door.
