Default Moving to Kamloops

Hi All, Potentially moving to Kamloops next Jan/feb, currently in the UK. My partner is not a fan (just because of one bad experience a few years back there, wasn't even that bad ). Where would anyone recommend places to live or any good tech companies around there?

Default Re: Moving to Kamloops

Kamloops isn't awash with tech jobs, but BC Lotteries is worth taking a look at (another member on this site, DannyB works there), the university (TRU) occasionally has IT positions as does the City of Kamloops, and there are a handful of small development companies such as IdeaLever, iCompass and Lightship.

This might be a site worth investigating for networking opportunities: Kamloops Innovation | A community of technology entrepreneurs and mentors

Where you choose to live will be determined somewhat by budget. Popular family neighbourhoods are Juniper Ridge, Batchelor Heights and Sahali. If you want medium to large acreage, look at Barnhartvale, large city plots (0.5-0.75 acres) are found in Rose Hill. Rose Hill and Barnhartvale are more rural, though still an easy commute into the city (10 minutes and 20 minutes respectively). If you want apartment/condo style living, those can be found downtown and scattered through most neighbourhoods.
