anyone know much about edmonton im coming over on 4th may im a bricklayer whats it like?:

It's like Calgary only more trees and less money.
All the trades seem to think there's an economic boom, judging by quotes I've had recently, so you should be ok!
Winter may well be over by May 4th.

Calgary is full of cowboys (the ones that wear stetsons and boots and listen to country & western).

winter is not over until June if last year is anything to go by.

Incidentally there are quite few english brickies around i should know i work in construction..and a good job they are too.

It is interesting to note that the inferiority complex of those that live in Edmonton is such that, even when the OP asks questions specifically of Edmonton, Calgary is given in the answer.

SLightly OT but a friend of mine posted some pics on FB of Edmonton in Springtime. They showed her, her 5 year old and 4 year old shovelling snow off the sidewalk.

no it snowed here in Edmonton on 31st May last year..in fact it snowed on 4 separate occasions last May
