Default moving costs

hiyall! long time no posts (for me anyway) while relocating from germany back to blighty and now we finally have broadband again. phew.

anyway, anyone know what the approx cost of moving a 40ft container to calgary is? we plan to pack & unpack ourselves, the movers will just have to pack everything into the the container and unload it on the other side.

ball park figures would be great.

thanks all!!

Sounds like you need some quotes.

Give Don a call @ Centenery shipping. He was excellent in organizing our 20ft-er from Leeds to Halifax, and he's really a nice bloke to deal with.

Mention Jason, he'll know what you mean ;-)

thanks spaceace, i'll do that. hopefully they will be able to give us an idea of costs without a full quotation (and valuation), as we're not sure when we will be going yet - could be Oct, or later next year. we're just curious at the moment...

He should be able to sort you out with a quote for the container. They don't do the packing for you tho!

We've used Ewe Pack, and found them very good so far.... Try them for a quote.

Our container should be arriving in Saint John on Thursday (we hope).
