Rich, innit? You don't get lots of cops hanging around in Rexdale or Moss Park where there's all that poverty and crime.

Vistors notice it. If you have kids who have respiratory problems such as allergies, asthma etc, it may be wise that you research this specifically vis a vis Oakville.
The air quality is a potential issue thoughout the GTA, particularly in the summer when the humidity kicks in. Interesting comment about the police, I hadn't really thought about it but you are right you do see them often, although in my neighbourhood their main purpose seems to be escorting the local coyotes on their afternoon stroll.

Is that, like, a euphemism similar to cougars?

Or is it really Wile E?

Cannot recall where I read the fact that all of the major high volume highways meet right in Oakville, at a low gradient points where traffic jams occur at least 3 times a day. Heavy and light transport vehicles use these highways too, as routes to the USA and back. Add the pollution from steel city Hamilton that slides down to Oakville (cos lower altitude) and pollution is heavy compared to other "towns". Whilst other towns of similar size have sound reduction barriers to mitigate truck (lorries) noise, Oakville has none or very little.
Rampant cougar population.

The 401 doesn't go to Oakville. I went along it yesterday, Milton, Mississauga, Toronto, not even a sign to Oakville. It was the same when I came back.

This is not dispute the central point, one should avoid breathing when outdoors in Oakville in the summer, but no more or less so than in the rest of the GTA.

My kids found school easy when they first came here. They're 8 & 5
Just to add to that, my wife worries that if we move back to the UK my kids will certainly be behind their old classmates now.

Yes, although that doesn't look like Wile E.

Perhaps it's a disguise ordered from the Acme Catalog
