Default Moving to Canada

Hi guys, my name is Jozef or Joe, however which you want
Im looking to move to Canada, hopefully to become a permanent resident but on the short term just for work.
Im 24, and I'm a fully qualified installation electrician by trade with 6/7 experience under my belt.
I was just wondering if anyone could be polite enough to give me 5 minutes of their time to help with with tips on moving over, if they have been in a similar position before?
Im not looking for a certain place in particular in canada, i do have friends in Montreal, Ontario and family in Vancouver but as they are obviously residents already they dont have much clue on immigration.
I also have a friend that would be looking on moving over to, hes a bit above me job wise, as hes an electrical engineer.

Cheers for any info guys,

Much appreciated.
