My mate at home is in IT and he finds it difficult getting work because he's sick of going contracts in London, he's done it for 2 years and before that he was in Geneva for 2 years. He just wants to work and live properly in Edinburgh but getting the right thing is the biggest bug bear. So we're both slightly frustrated right now in terms of work I'm in Van and he's in Edinburgh.

I think it's good to have a good moan and cry about why the hell you're here. This helps me refocus and get some objectivity into my situation.

Aye immigration is one of the hardest things we'll ever do. Just as well we have internet, phones and Zoom to fly home on the cheap. Can you imagine coming here on a ship in the 19th C not knowing if it would sink or not and in the knowledge that you would never see your homeland or the family and friends you left behind ever again. Now THAT's depressing!
