Hi, I will be moving to Calgary next Spring with my husband and young son. We are currently deciding on where to buy a home and so far have been looking at Mckenzie Lake and Chaparral. I would welcome any comments that anyone may have on these particular communities. We are keen to move to a lake community so any other suggestions of local communities would be of great interest to us. Penny

Hi Penny,
I have no personal experience of the southern lake communities, but a number of friends live down there and love them.
They get a sense of community feel, whilst being a part of the city too.
I think there are a lot of Brits there, which can be seen as either a great thing or not!LOL
Good luck with your move!

Unless you have a compelling reason to want to live in the "deep south" of the city, you might also like to consider Arbour Lake, in the NW as an option.
