Re: Moving Back To The UK
Defining where is the SE
"South East England is the most populous of the nine official regions of England at the first level of NUTS for statistical purposes. It consists of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex" did a search to see all what is available in the SE for under "3 bedroom semi under £450k" In Kent & Hampshire there are quite a few 3 bedroom semi's in & around or under £200k Maybe 'ScotinCanada' can come back with a specific town or county that he is looking at? |

Re: Moving Back To The UK
Oh I'm not the OP and no longer looking to move round here - I'm trying to move to Canada! I just had a wee moan about house prices.
We gave up trying to move round here last year. For info, in case you're interested, we live in Hertfordshire and needed to live within a 15 min walk of a train station that takes us into Kings Cross for work. That's where the premium prices come in. Yeah if you can live away from a commuting route the prices go down.... |
Re: Moving Back To The UK
Hi
Curious, Do you pay any tax ( canada or UK ) on the property you sell in canada, when you move back to the uk ? Or is exempt, as it is your only residence at the time ? Cheers Jerry |

if its your principle residence (the place that you normally live in) then the answer is no tax on the sale (gain in price) of the principle residence
