Hi Markandstacey,

Many congrats and welcome to Nova Scotia. We've only been here since mid August but it already feels like home. We're in Fall River - whereabouts are you guys? Fire away with any questions or drop us a PM .... Best wishes, Chobert & family

I live up near Elmsdale, its a beautiful place, enjoy your new life here and welcome.

BTW - it may also frustrate you at times but the scenery and people are worth it!

If you've not been yet, there's Laurie Park and Oakfield Park. Both are about 5 mins away on Hwy 2 (heading north). There's also Shubie Park about 15 mins away, on Waverley Road.

A bit late now, but Oakfield Park has a manned beach in the summer. We go there most weekends and take the dog- there's quite a few nice trails.

Hi,
there is i also MacDonald park in Waverley which is a lovely place to walk the trails along the lake. No dogs at this park, hoping that will change soon.
Depends where in fall river you are? We are on Miller lake area so pretty central to MacDonald or Laurie by car!
Hope your settling in well.
